Boys & Girls Youth and High School Lacrosse Programs
Sun Valley Lacrosse is a proud member of USA Lacrosse. ALL Sun Valley Lacrosse coaches are SafeSport certified to further enhance player safety and pass a background check administered through USA Lacrosse. We strive to provide each player the appropriate age level of coaching instruction. We seek to build a player’s confidence in learning lacrosse skills. We aspire to develop a sense of teamwork and fair play. We honor the game by respecting the rules, our opponents, officials, our teammates and ourselves. We aim to develop character values that will benefit today’s players in later years and in other endeavors.
Players will learn the value of teamwork, determination, and commitment, and have FUN playing lacrosse.
Drug and Alcohol Policy
Sun Valley Lacrosse has a zero tolerance policy against the use of drugs or alcohol by spectators, coaches and players at any Sun Valley Lacrosse event. This includes, but is not limited to, use or possession on the fields, spectator areas, and parking lots. Individuals who violate this policy will be required to leave the venue and will be subject to further disciplinary action. Illegal activities will be reported to the police for appropriate action.
Anti-Bullying Policy
Sun Valley Lacrosse will not tolerate bullying of any kind. If bullying does occur, disciplinary action including expulsion from the Sun Valley Lacrosse program may occur.
Registration Policy
Sun Valley Lacrosse has registration for Spring, Summer and Fall Lacrosse Seasons every year. Registration is hosted through the Sun Valley Lacrosse website using the SportsEngine platform.
Player/Family Commitment
In order to ensure that all of our players’ spring seasons are fulfilling and productive, Sun Valley Lacrosse expects players and their families to commit to practices and games.
Sun Valley Lacrosse understands that our players have many commitments, and we excuse all mandatory school, religious, and family conflicts. Sun Valley Lacrosse promotes all players participating in multiple sports, for balanced development, and so we also excuse conflicts with winter sport “post-seasons” for hockey, skiing, basketball, swimming, etc. Sun Valley Lacrosse is respectful of family spring break vacations, and will excuse those conflicts as well. Outside of these exceptions, we ask that all players commit to Sun Valley Lacrosse as their spring season’s primary extracurricular activity. If you can navigate other activities around Sun Valley Lacrosse, that is your family’s decision.
This commitment policy isn't about punishing those who miss, it's about supporting the players and coaches who are committed to their teams and have made a choice to play for Sun Valley Lacrosse over other things.
