Position Title: Program Coordinator

Location: Sun Valley, Idaho

Reports To: Board of Directors

Salary: $75,000 - $100,000

Job Overview:

The Sun Valley Lacrosse Program Coordinator is tasked with unlocking the potential, creativity and confidence of the greater Wood River Valley athletes to play their best lacrosse.

The Program Coordinator is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and strategic direction of the lacrosse program. This role includes overseeing the Girls & Boys programs, all coaching staff and volunteers, developing and implementing training programs, practice strategies, managing budgets, and ensuring the program adheres to its mission and philosophy. The Managing Director will also play a crucial role in community engagement and promoting girls and boys lacrosse throughout the Wood River Valley.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Program Leadership:

· Create the 3–5-year strategy and vision for Sun Valley Lacrosse:

· Identify and establish through roadmaps the long-term goal of SV lacrosse

· Ensure that the strategy is across gender and age and ensure alignment and collaboration

· Create a championship blueprint for SV lacrosse that is grounded in winning both on and off the field

· Be bold and build a competitive environment that will leverage the athletes of the Valley

· Measure and track successes and opportunities to monitor progress

· Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that promotes sportsmanship and teamwork.

2. Coaching and Development:

· Establish the seasonal lacrosse cadence and objectives for all Sun Valley Lacrosse programs

· Create in-season calendar of practices, clinics and skill sessions to maximize player and team development

· Create a competitive lacrosse schedule that allows both competition and development for all players

· Create Summer and Fall Ball opportunities for player and team development that are scheduled

· Create a culture of lacrosse during the season where lacrosse becomes a priority because players are developing, contributing, having fun and wanting to come back

· Be the main point of contact for all things youth lacrosse the Wood River Valley

3. Operations and Administration:

· Manage the day-to-day operations of the lacrosse program, including scheduling, logistics, uniform and equipment management.

· Tracking the program budget, ensuring financial sustainability and accountability.

· Ensure compliance with all organizational policies, league regulations, and standards.

4. Community Engagement and Promotion:

· Act as an ambassador, promoting lacrosse within the community and throughout competitor programs and within leagues (ex: IHSLL, TVYLL, IMLAX, MWYLA, etc.)

· Develop and maintain relationships with local schools, community organizations, and other sports programs.

· Coordinate and participate in outreach activities, clinics, and events to increase participation and visibility of the lacrosse program.

· Actively engage and communicate with Parents, Families and Lacrosse Community

5. Fundraising and Sponsorship:

· Support the Board in the pursuit of fundraising opportunities, including grants, sponsorships, and donations.

6. Player Welfare and Development:

· Ensure a supportive and safe environment for all players.

· Promote the academic and personal development of student-athletes.

· Implement programs and resources to support the physical and mental well-being of players.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree

· Relationship builder across players, families and community

· Proven leadership and managerial skills

· Played at least high school lacrosse and preferably college

· Excellent communicator, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

· Expertise in lacrosse including rules, techniques, and best practices.

· Ability to track budgets and financial operations.

· Experience in community engagement

· Passion for lacrosse and commitment to the development of players at all levels.

Job Overview:

Sun Valley Lacrosse is seeking a Girls' High School Head Coach to provide vision and leadership while collaborating with players, parents, coaches, and board. The Head Coach will provide top-tier instruction while leading practices, mentoring players, and promoting a positive team culture. Must be available for Fall Ball as well as Spring Season, with games across multiple states.
